Day 2: Toledo Day Tour (Sunday, July 20, 2025)
Included Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, we will be met by the tour guide for our full day tour of the historic city of Toledo, World Heritage city since 1986, which is about 30 minutes from Madrid. Once Spain’s capital, it is a perfect mix of different cultures.
We will start with a walking tour through Toledo’s atmospheric cobbled backstreets discovering a series of incredible buildings, still very much alive both inside and out.
We will visit the Cathedral, an impressive example of medieval Gothic architecture. The enormous interior is full of the classic characteristics of the style, rose windows, flying buttresses, ribbed vaults and pointed arches among them. The cathedral’s sacristy is a veritable art gallery of old masters, with works by Velázquez, Goya and – of course – El Greco.
Our next visit will be the Church of Santo Tome which houses the painting, “The Burial of the Count of Orgaz”, one of the masterpieces by the famous painter, El Greco.
Our final stop on the tour, we will visit a “damasquinado” (Toledo Craft) workshop. Toledo is renowned for its damasquinado anticraft. Damascening is the art of inlaying gold threats into dark steel, and it is one of the most ancient and unique artisanal traditions.
Enjoy lunch on your own in Toledo.
The tour is 7 hours.
Enjoy a free evening in Madrid.
Day 3: Madrid City Tour (Monday, July 21, 2025)

After breakfast, we will be met by the tour guide for our half day tour of Madrid. Our day starts at the most famous Art Gallery in the world, the Prado (Museo de Prado). Prado is considered one of the most unique museums worldwide. With more than 10,000 collections, Prado offers a unique journey through time and color. We will admire the masterpieces of El Greco, Velasquez and Goya, who “stand” next to other equally important painters.
We will then walk through the most bohemian district in central Madrid, the famous Barrio de las Letras, the neighborhood of the arts, where many of Spain’s great painters and writers lived and created, such as Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Lope de Vega and Federico García Lorca. This is also the center of the night life of the city with cervecerias (beers), tapas, jazz clubs, etc. Our tour ends in the heart of Madrid, Habsburg, the historical and commercial center of the city.
The tour is 4 and a half hours.
Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure and dinner on your own.
Join us for a night out at a Flamenco Show, which is a traditional Spanish dance.
